Wat een kleuren he?

De lente begint heel voorzichtig haar gezicht te laten zien en deze Magnolia boom was ik eigenlijk van plan eruit te trekken en bij mijn ouders in de tuin te planten omdat hij altijd maar 3 bloemen gaf en een heleboel blad.

Tot mijn grote verbazing dit seizoen zag ik een hele bubs van die knoppen en was ik diep in mijn hart erg blij dat ik de boom er nog niet had uitgetrokken.

Moet je kijken wat een moois!

My sister in law celebrated her birthday and I thought it might be fun to stitch the card,so I did with silver thread. The flowers were stamped.

The butterflies were made with the Slice Machine. I have used the patterned paper for the butterflies and cut them out in 2 sizes.

First nights with Lilly

During the day she likes to takes naps on our laps but lucky us during the nights she is sleeping in her bench and she doesn't make a sound.
And when you come down in the morning you see a very happy little puppy and she greets us with so much enthousiasm that it brings tears to my eyes (yes ok I am a softy I know)

She is exploring the house a like a madman and she bites on our hands like we have chickenwings instead of fingers.
She runs back and forth with her toys and and I cannot take my eyes off her,and I better not before you know it she is knibbling on something she is not supposed to knibble on ;-)

I feel like a new mom with a new born baby,is that weird?

It has been a while since I have posted something,my camera had issues and it is fixed now :)
This card is made for my uncle who was diagnosed with cancer. I thought this angel was the perfect image for him.
The card was white but I have mixed some cats eye and sponged the edges so it became the color of the image,blue/greenish.

Hello everybody,

I must tell you I am having so much fun with the slice machine,and here is my first card I made with it.
I cutout a circle in the card first and then a litter bigger circle in my paper and added it onto the card. I cut out 2 different sizes hearts and glued them to the card.
On the inside I have a Magnolia stamp,colored her with my Derwent and cutout some photocorners :)

I have an early birthday it seems,it is not February 28th yet but my husband bought me a Slice Machine from Making Memories and it is awesome!
It also has an embossing thingy,but I have not figured that one out yet. I thought I wanted the Cuttle bug but this is soo much better.

It has been a bit quiet here,I had so much on my mind but this day I have the house to myself and it is peacefull and quiet :)

I have had a lot of fun creating this card,it is a cheery one,and I like cheery cards :)

A close up ,a bit blurry sorry. I have colored this digital stamp with my Derwent pencils and when I was done coloring I cut him out and added 3d tape and placed him on the card.

I have bought a bag filled with cute buttons a while ago and I am having so much fun using these :)

Colored the stamp with my Derwent pencils,and gave the flowers a thick gluedot in the middle.

Daddy's birthday

Hello on this very last day of the year,and when the last hours are ticking away I made a card for my dad who will be celebrating his 68th birthday soon.
I printed out 2 images of him,1 when he was a very young child and the other as he is today :)I love my paps very much,he is the absolute best.

A close up ,the printed image didn't turn out too fantastic..
I wish you all a very good 2010,may it bring you joy and laughter and many hours to be creative and ofcourse in good health.

Something different today then my own stamps haha,this one is from Gorjuss and I like those very much.
Used the EK success punches for the flowers and added a little glitter glue dot on top of it.

The sentiment is from me,printed it out and used a punch to create a scalloped circle.

For this card I have used a paper that I like very much but forgot the name,if anyone knows feel free to let me know!
Used my own digital stamp and rounded the edges with a punch,colored the stamp with Derwent.
Added a string of lace on the left side and a little bow on the right.

The walls were pink,it was my daughters old room and I like pink so I left it like that. The blue box will be painted this week too in a different color.I have that thing for years and he can use a bit of paint.I have bought some baskets and from here on it is easy to expand haha!

I dragged myself into my scraproom and started to work on some cards and in the end I felt relaxed and a bit better,also thanks to Marijke's offer to bring me some tea :) that brought me a smile!

I have scanned the card and played with it in Paintshop Pro with some filters :)
For this card I have used the Wisteria paper some flowers from E and ofcourse my own digital stamp. I have colored Daisy Mae with Derwent pencils.

I have drawn a new digital stamp this morning and decided to work with it right away.

This stamp is also available in my members area!
The red part looks like it has been stitched on it,I used a white marker to draw these stitched lines.
The little star on the right is a green one and the scanner turned it into a striped thingy..ooh well.

My scraproom is ready and I am so happy with it! I had planned to take a picture but it seems my camera broke down,I can't afford a new one right now so no pictures for a while :)

I bought some stitched brads and they are super! Bought them in America since they ask in Holland ridiculous prices for scrapbook goodies.

A thank you card today instead of winter or Christmas. It has been raining all day today and I was in the mood for something cheery :)

I have used an paperpad and cut out some flowers and sticked those with 3d tape on the card. Digital stamp is from myself :) The little tag says "Bedankt" in Dutch means "Thank You"

My husband looked at me the past months and saw the stack of scrapbook supplies growing and growing. And the other day he suggested that I should get a room upstairs for all the goodies and guess what?

He is busy painting the old room my daughter used to sleep in,she moved another floor up :)
I can't wait to move all the scrapbook stuff upstairs in my own room! woohoo!

Also I have added new digital stamps to my website and working on some more as we speak.

A very simple card,using one of my hand drawn digital stamps. The only thing I don't like how it is turned out is the text stamp. I didn't trust my hands to go over the same spot again twice so I decided to leave it like that.

For the sentiment I have taken a scalloped circle,made it with a punch from EK SUCCESS.

Making cards helps me not to think and feel so much,I am over sensitive and I have an anxiety disorder. I live with this for years now and you have good days and you have bad days..today I have a bad day. So I take it easy and do things that relaxes me and I will get over it :)

I didn't mean to nag or whine but it feels good to just say what is on your mind and to let it go and move forward.

Daisy Mae Bunny card

Finally my new floral punch arrived and I had to use it and I have taken the Daisy Mae digital stamp for this card.
The close up above is in normal colors ,the second one I have lightened up a bit.
I have cut the sides with scissors,no I don't have a cute punch for it haha so it is difficult to cut it in a straight line but I think I did ok.
Paper is from Basic Grey - lemonade.

Ik krijg trouwens veel vragen over betalen zonder paypal dus door overboeking via de bank.
Dat mag dus ook hoor,de stempeltjes zijn 1 euro per stuk,en je mag via email je bestelling plaatsen. Schrijf even de namen van de digitstempels op (je vind ze op mijn site onder elk voorbeeldje) in je bestelling en stuur het op.

Winter is coming and I love that time of year :)
I have used a new digital stamp from Heartland Creek Graphics and colored him with Derwent pencils. Paper is from Specialty Paper Pad
I stamped the sentiment and colored the border with a Derwent pencil and faded it with water,it came out as the exact same color of the background paper. Lucky me :)

Snowman card

It was a rainy day yesterday,the perfect weather to make a card. Used a darkblue cardstock and some beautiful Christmas paper from Fiskars.
Used a digital stamp from Heartland Creek Graphics. Members at Heartland Creek Graphics find all these in the members area. At no extra cost. We all love a bargain don't we :)
Used my Derwent pencils the color the snowpeeps. And next it was time to scan and again it came out a little bit blurry.

Used a digital stamp from the Daisy Mae series at Heartland Creek Graphics. Daisy Mae was colored using Derwent pencils.
Bought a huge punch yesterday to cutout a flower. Love that stuff!
The sentiment on the right says Thank you in Dutch.

Used a white card and some flower patterned papers.

Too bad the scanner shows the colors so differently then the actual card. The little flowers carry pink gems instead of blue..oh well just use your imagination ok? :)

Oh and I have used a Daisy Mae digital stamp. Colored her with Derwent pencils,I just love those.

A snowman card today,paper is from Kars and the stamp is from my own collection.
The colors are a bit on the bright side after scanning,the actual card is much softer,the blue and the green that is :)

Another Christmas card,I had some bad luck my paper trimmer was not sharp anymore so the paper looks a little bit torn. For the graphic I used my own collection of bears.

Daisy Mae Bunny card

This is Daisy Mae,I started drawing her a couple of years ago and the collection has grown from there :) The image is a digital stamp and I have resized her a bit in Word and printed the image.

I have colored Daisy Mae with Derwent pencils.

The scan didn't turn out too good,it is a bit blurry in the middle..

Feel free to comment,in fact I would love to get some responses..it is tough making new friends here :)

Christmas card using own graphics

What a day!
I finally figured out my printer,he was staring at me for weeks now and I have to admit I am not that technical...but it was a piece of cake so the printing and scanning went easy :)

For this card I have used my own graphics,made some digi stamps and colored this one with derwent pencils.The color of the bear is a little bit too bright so I need to work on that hehe
The card is not finished yet,i need to add some goodies to it but I wanted to show my card to you all so I couldn't wait any longer :)

Ik heb eindelijk de printer uitgevogeld,hij was me al weken aan het aanstaren en ik moet bekennen ik ben niet zo technisch maar het installeren was een eitje.En het printen en scannen ging soepel.
Voor deze kaart heb ik mijn eigen werk gebruikt en ingekleurd met Derwent potloden. De kleur van de beer moet ietsje minder,ik vind hem iets te fel van kleur. De kaart is nog niet helemaal af,ik moet nog wat kleine versieringen er nog op doen maar ik wilde hem al zo graag aan jullie laten zien :D

I made this one a couple of days ago :)
The fun I had with this new stamp (Rachel Ann Miller)! It is really cute. Used different kinds of papers and colored the stamp with Derwent pencils.

Daisy Mae

I wanted to get some cards done but on the other hand my website needed something new too so I am working on new Daisy Mae images for my members :)

Here is a sample of the first one,she is resized ofcourse.
These images are also perfect for making blog layouts,or cardmaking and yes even embroidery.

Derwent pencils

There are several kinds of Derwent pencils,the color soft and the inktense for example. The inktense you can use with water and terpentine and the color soft with terpentine.

The inktense colors are very vibrant and full of pigment as soon as you start using them with water. Using them with terpentine gives a more soft end result. I think I prefer the inktense pencils and using water but on a stamp the less water is better and with these koi brushes you easily use to much water.
The downside with terpentine is that you erase also the stamp lines so it gives a dirty look on your stamp. Perhaps I used too much terpentine?

Laaf stamp

Today I was looking through my stamps and saw one from a couple of years ago.

Laaf was quite famous back then,and the idea came from this amusement park called De Efteling.
I bought a new brush from Koi to color this stamp with my brandnew Derwent pencils .

I used simply water,the koi brush has a small container for water. However the amount of water is a little bit too much so I am going to try terpentine next time.
But I am happy with the result :)

Color stamps

How do you color your stamps? I used all kinds of things and my favorite thus far has been chalks, chalks are wonderful because they blend very nicely and it gives a lovely powder effect!

Also watercolor paint but the paint is often too wet so I decided to buy me some new pencils instead!

These pencils are from Derwent I hope to receive them this week so I can start using them. I would love to get some replies from the pro's so don't be shy :)

Heartland Creek Graphics is going in a new direction, I am currently busy working on graphics to make clearstamps out of.
